Early on in 2018 we learned that the Kahneeta resort would be closing. We put it on our list of goals for 2018, and at some point in July we made that happen. We had our cruncle Justin out visiting and we were going around and doing a of fun Central Oregon things, and we included this into our adventures.
We woke up and decided to head up after breakfast. You pay one flat fee for the whole day. We went and got some awesome picnic lunch stuff and decided to eat there in the grass before we entered.
After eating, running around in the grass, and attempting to climb trees we headed over the bridge to the waterpark.
Once we made our way in Brent went with all the big boys to get changed and showered, I took Emmett into the ladies locker room and got him all ready! Then it was time to hunt for a good spot to set up all our stuff.
We found a semi shady spot on the ledge of a planter area. We set all our bags up and began blowing up some floaties. The kids didn't waste any time. They went straight to the water. I took Emmett in and got him in the small kiddie pool area. A group of people left so I got him out and quickly swooped in with our stuff to claim a row of lounge chairs. Emmett ended up kind of falling asleep, so I sat with him for awhile. Then Brent came and relieved me, so I swam and he sun bathed. Justin got out and changed pretty early. He thought we were done when Emmett was napping. He ended up taking a nap too. The rest of us swam for hours, after several reapplications of sunscreen and breaks for sunbathing we called it a day...we were all prunes.

We ended up buying Emmett a little car floatie. He loves it |

Crossing the bridge was sad a little. It is weird growing up and seeing all these places that were somewhat magical and spectacular close down or turn to ruin. I am just glad we were able to share a little of the fun with the boys. We headed home and on to the next adventure.
