One of the trips we took for camping was to Elk Lake. Cute little (nice sized) lake with random campgrounds around it. We pulled in late in the afternoon and were only staying for a little overnighter. My classes were one or two days a week at this point, so we would plan these trips around my classes and Brent's work.
It was a warm summer night. August waisted no time getting right into the water as soon as we got there.
Bray and Emmett also played in the water. I was wearing leggings and couldn't get wet.
After playing in the water we headed to our campsite and set up. We made hot dogs for dinner and smores for dessert.
The next day we woke up, ate breakfast and packed up.
We headed to the opposite side of the lake to Little Fawn. There we spent the day playing in water. Some friends were going to potentially meet us up there, but they never showed. Oh well. It was a great time with our boys.
Tent games...
have to taste the dirt to know if it's any good |
At Little Fawn we blew up a few different floaties.
We piled in the car and headed back to civilization. We stopped in Bend and ate dinner, then headed home. Great Impromptu camping.
