I spy somethig green...

While in town a few weeks ago I took all the boys and Abe on a hike at Trion.
It was muggy out.
We walked for almost 3 hours.
It was awesome.
And first I dropped them off at the park/school next to Annettes so that we could have a proper visit.
It was Mother's Day.
Her Daughter Karrie brought fresh strawberries and we sat around and had a great visit.
Then I picked the boys up and we went hiking.

It was packed at Trion. I can't believe how many people spend their mother's day like this...
I swear last year on MOther'S Day it wasn't nearly as crowded...

The boys quickly found sticks and became their four-year old selves battling it out during our hike. Disrupting the meditating elderly along the way.

August and his creepy crawlies. He was excited to find anything...especially this snail.

These looked straight out of a Dr. Seuss book. They were so magical.
The boys were getting tired by now and starting to complain.
Mainly because they drank all their water right away. AND they wore sweat shirts when I told them to leave them in the car...and by now they were wanting to turn me into a coat rack.
I made them tie them around their waists.

 Mitch is such a climber.

August was pretty beat after two and a half hours. Mitch gave him little breaks here and there. I had three water bottles my camera and phone. Thank goodness for "big" brothers

Abram and Bray are two peas in a pod. I love the conversations they have when they get together. It is almost like a secret language intricate with inside jokes and facial expressions.

Taking a break after walking "UP" the hill. Mitch was feeling like he was getting a pretty good work out.

This was funny. At 6'3 Abram towers over the boys, and even with August on his shoulders ABE had them BEAT!!
He is one tall little thing.
I love that kid.

We finanlly made it back and to the bathroom just in time.
Usually I let the boys go wherever, but there was way too much traffic there that day.
Plus people living in the SW area are kind of snobby and judgmental when they come across little boys peeing in the woods.

Common people...it's the woods!

Can't wait to hike again. It was great.
