Catching up ~ Spring Break

During Spring Break we ended up going to Portland to visit all of the cousins.
I love, love roadtripping with my guys.
Especially now that all of my excellent singing and music taste have rubbed off on them.
We generally have a great time making that three hour drive. It feels like nothing anymore.
Still, it is always great when we get to our cousins...

It was great to see all my favorite ladies that week before we headed home...

Annette and I were so productive we finished TWO puzzles.
It was pretty epic.
And, such a nice visit to sit and listen to her stories and just cling to these times that she and I have to spend together. I know they are running short. And I don't mind hearing the same story a billion times, cause I love this gal and will miss her like crazy someday.

Carleen did my hair and make up one day.
I feel like that was more make up than I have EVER worn in my life (even prom). Still it is always fun to play dress up with your sisters.

We ended up going on a walk...to try and run more energy out of these kids.

This park has a labyrinth, and is a meditation park.
It was fun watching August stay in the lines and actually complete it.

These posts were all around, it was pretty cool.

Then we went to a local Mexican eatery. Cha Cha Cha...
Carleen likes it because it is "authentic".
I like it cause its so COLORFUL and fun.

I mean common' look at all those lovely pinatas!

During the first weekend of Spring Break Carleen informed me that she had booked a cabin at Sunriver that we were welcome to come enjoy.
Unfortunately, this was late notice as Brent's parents would be moving to Prineville that weekend. So we were only able to go for a couple nights, but it was awesome.

Shortly after this picture Carleen fell during the basketball game and thumped her head on the concrete pretty good.
She ended up with a huge welt and obvious concusion.
The whole rest of the time she had to take it easy. So the bike riding and bouldering we planned had to wait.

* I wrote a bunch of stuff detailing this trip, but the computer tweaked and I lost it all. I am NOT retyping it :( The pictures will have to tell the story.

Our last day there we went on a hike. I had to shop for all of the meals we were planning for our house guests and the move, so I left the hike in the middle. It was so fun to be with my family though.
And it is so nice that Sunriver is sooo close to us. It is gorgeous and I LOVE where we LIVE.
