I know, I know too exciting!
Well for his birthday so far we have had cupcakes at his preschool, a free piece of smores pie from Shari's, and a homemade cake...
All of this before his actual birthday party next weekend.
We must love us some sugar over here!
Anyways, Brent woke up and started August on this homemade cake adventure. I had nothing to do with it. Also when I say homemade, it is a box of cake mix and store bought frosting but, it was made at our house. That counts right?
These were some of the darling pictures I took to capture this precious moment...
I should add, that mixing bowl was one from my own childhood. I have pics of me licking batter from the rim (you know back before they made a big deal about raw eggs in cake batter) |
My sweet big boy! |
Loves making faces in pictures, and I must say...he's pretty good at it |
It took some figuring out to decide cake or cupcakes? August finally decided he wanted a Halloween cake |
He decided Purple and Orange...so we started with the basics |
We got the thumbs up! |
Brent's idea was the tombstone...the RIP 3 |
My love and I |
August finishing dinner before the cake... |
He blew out the candles right at the begining of happy birthday... |
I barely had time to get the camera ready |
Brayden and his tongue...(of course) |
I told him if he didn't smile nicely he would not get a piece of cake...(I know I'm mean) |
I made up for it though |
The layers of color... |
Mitch...too cool for photos now that he's a teenager |
August roaring back at his dinosaur that he purchased with birthday money, its eyes light up and it walks and roars...toys these days sheesh |
