After a 2 year hiatus I am finally finding a tiny sliver of time to do something that resembles journaling...or at the very least creating a digital record of this crazy time in our lives.
As we are still wrapping our heads around the fact that we have a senior, there is also the realities that do not wait for parents to make any kind of peace with this.
There are college applications, tours, and visits. There are tests...so many tests and assessments these kids go through.
There are fundraisers and memorabilia they need to generate and order. The list really just keeps going. All the while we are trying to take in every moment we have with our son before he spreads his wings and leaves the nest.
Going out and taking some senior pictures were a fun and sobering adventure. We just drove around town and found some great backdrops that highlight Mitchel.
It was awfully bright out this day...part of the fun of taking the pictures was trying to encourage Mitch not to squint. Here were some of my favorite blooper-style pictures....
...and back to the actual photos that were taken.
This one was Mitchel's favorite that he wanted to submit to his year book. As a mother I was freaking out cause his hair was not perfect, but he loved it. |
That is crazy that he's a senior...It made me all worried that my boys were going to be seniors too someday soon! I think this post needs some Mitch baby photos too, for good balance. I really like the one that Mitch chose and some of the others in that locations. I also really liked some of the train ones too. I mean, I liked them all but those are my favorites.
