Uncle Jay's Christmas 2014

This year I neglected to do any facebook planning.
The meals came together on their own.
We were surprised to walk in to find Jay had NEW counter tops and a NEW oven.

However, because of this new oven he was extra particular about how things were done. The COMPLETE opposite of how it used to be.
It was fun watching him fuss over the stove.
The turkey pan ended up getting punctured and totally spilling all of the juice all over the place.
Poor Jay's new stove was a disaster by the end of the night.

Jay's new counter tops and oven

The turkey was not done all the way so we ended up needing to cook it for another hour.
August packed his backpack full of toys. It is always funny to see what he chooses to bring with him when we go places. It usually is not the same as what he plays with at home.

Jay ALSO got Brent binoculars. I guess it is good I have a bunch of boys that will be hunting soon. They will not go unused. But, I know Brent will feel obligated to use these instead of the ones I bought him. There is no way we are returning the ones I got him though. It was way too good of a deal. Besides, binoculars are fun for a lot more than just hunting. There is whale watching, bird watching, and other stuff...

Miles got a bow tie too.

We took our annual Santa pictures.
I am glad there are so many on our wall where we have our Papa Santa.

Grandma wanted a picture of all of the grand kids with their Papa Santa.

After presents got opened and thing started to settle down, Max and Rebecca brought out the pipes.
We got to play some music together as a family. It was pretty interesting to hear it all come together.

Blake wanted a weenie tot selfie for me to email it to him...

Jay had also said we would apply for the permits on Christmas since so many were forgotten last year...that didn't actually happen though.

As everyone left and the cleaning commenced, the wresting also started up...
Luckily only one thing got broken during their tumbling.

Here are the videos from that day:
