Building Volcanoes

 One great thing about Grandmas and Grandpas, they always have the neatest activities to do with the kids.  They also have experience with patience and flexibility when things do not quite turn out the way they were planned (a valuable skill when teaching children).
 This day in particular, Grandma brought home some clay for August to make his own mini volcano. 
The exploding volcano was a favorite of mine in my childhood. 
August loves science.
He had a lot of fun repeatedly exploding it for us. 
He is expressing himself so much more, which if you know him is hard to believe.

Of course, his brothers wanted in on the action.
Grandma is going to be bringing home a recipe for a GIANT volcano sometime soon.

As for now, the mini kept them entertained for days...
