Friday in Portland

This last weekend we went to Portland.

After a week of not seeing Daddy we were very excited to have at least one day with him.

We of course had some things to take care of...
Haircuts, buying snow tires...

First on our list of things to do was get winter tires.
After a trip to Les Schwab, we drove over to give Papa a present.
Brent has talked about getting his dad these old fashioned creme drops forever.
He has looked at different candy stores all over and has never been successful.
Finally, I took on the challenge of finding them.
In some little country store in Vermont they actually make them.
We ordered a box of assorted creme drops, and they took 3 weeks to get to us...
So needless to say it was exciting to finally hand them over.
They were a little shaken from the trip over to us, but they tasted just like they were supposed to, according to the experts.

After we each had a candy...or two we said adieu and headed to our next stop!

Haircuts.
I have mentioned how Mitchel has an aversion to hair cuts before?!
Well, we have tried to be more ON IT, regarding his hair.
He really hates to lose any length, so we are trying to show him that he can get it "cleaned up" around his head without getting it cut terribly short.
While Brent and Mitchel did this, I ventured in to the Game Shop next door so the other two could tinker around until it was time to go.

From haircuts we headed to the NEW Chipotle in Sherwood.
This is where Brent had been for the past week and a half.
It was exciting for him to share this with us.
And we LOVE the food so plus plus.

August got  a little cold so Mitch offered to "share" his coat.
Sweet big brother that he is.

We walked across the street to the Starbucks to get some Chai and Cider.
It was rainy and cold so we felt like some Fall beverages were in order.

After lunch we went to Nicoli's bar and grill.
We had remembered when we went there before that the bowling was free for kids this month.
We bowled two games.
It was a blast.
The kids are very encouraging of each other.

Did I mention I was in a dress again?
Apparently that is my favorite bowling attire.

 Our scores...
To my surprise they were wanting MORE food.
We ended up getting an appetizer sampler for them to split.

My shaky pictures of us heading to the car.
I was running from the rain...

We headed over to get Cruncle Justin and go to the movies.
Since he works at the theater we are able to get some free tickets.
Awesome.
We saw the Box Trolls.

The ceiling of the elevator had a mirror....WATCH OUT!

After the movie we were kind of unsure where to go for dinner.
We were going to get sushi before the movie, but traffic was HORRIBLE through Tigard.
So, after slinging around different options we ended on Benihana.
Luckily they were able to squeeze us in.
Sadly my camera died right after we got there :(
Oh well, I got a few pictures.

Not too bad for a Friday.
