The weekend.
The grand finale of our vacation.
Brent was feeling better this day (Friday), which was great.
We went to do some shopping. Mitch needed a new tube for his tire and while at the store we found a new sleeping bag for Brayden too. He is growing out of his current bag, so it is time to pass them on down the line.
After shopping we also headed back to the library so the boys could return their books and get new ones. Brent also got two audio tapes for us to listen to on our drives. We listened to The Hatchet and on of the Percy Jackson books.
After the library we decided to check out a hot dog stand here in town called the Dawg House.
Brayden and August had games.
I feel like I should just bring a recliner and set it in the field. I am there almost 4 nights a week...
The older kids have to do safety checks before each game. They are not allowed to wear metal cleats or wear jewelry and things.
Both boys played great and had a lot of fun.
The boys games ended a little after seven and we headed to Portland.
~ Saturday~
Brent had to work on Saturday, but we were able to head to breakfast at Biscuits with Jen and Mom before he had to leave. We also did some shoe shopping so the boys had new kicks to start out the school year.
August went around the shoe store mimicking the posters on the walls.
~ Sunday ~
Sunday Brent took Brayden to a Timbers game.
He had a lot of fun and got his face painted.
The clean up was super fun...
~ Monday ~
Monday we went to brunch before we headed back home and left Dad to go to work.
It was nice, but I could tell we were all ready to be home and get back into a routine of sorts.
...and that was that.
One whole week with my most favorite-est people doing whatever we wanted.
Such a needed experience
