Photo/Video Dump of my weekend

We've got a few cool things this past week.
First, my mom made us a butter dish in her pottery class.
The measurements were slightly off, so I have to quarter the butter to get it to fit.

Secondly, Cosmo's new collar came in. It looks so nice on him.

Cosmo has been doing this weird thing where he just sits by me and stares.
He will occasionally make a moaning barky sound.
But mainly he is just creepy and staring at me.
I tried to get a video of him while he was doing it...

My mother's birthday is Monday April 28th and my sisters and I were pretty late in the game on planning something for her.
I had thought that Jen was hosting and hanging out with mom since she purchased Cirque du Soleil tickets and made it sound like it was an all encompassing event.
 Anywho-
They both text me last week telling me we should have a little shin dig for my mom.
So I decided I would make the trek over the mountain to come celebrate this with them!
Much like my birthday celebration we decided to do a variety of her favorite appetizers.
It was a lot of fun.
As per usual I tried to shove a bunch of stuff in my little visit.
Friday night when we arrived Jen was hungry so we went and ate dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory.
I let Breanna drive our new car.
She seemed pretty excited, a little nervous and weird-ed out how differently it drove.

The next day (Saturday) I went to go visit Annette and get my puzzle on!
She was of course elated to see us, but August was a little wound up during our visit.
I always feel so bad when he acts like a possessed child...Ugh!
She had just got done making a batch of zucchini bread...yum.
I still had my zoom lens and had to stand super far back, and still it was hard to get a focus that close.

While we visited I started looking around this house.
A placeI have spent so much time at.
For holidays, over cups of coffee...
It makes me sad to think someday I will drive by this place and it will belong to someone else.
That someday it will be a place foreign to me.
I got a little sentimental sitting there across from Annette spending this time doing one of our most recent pass times, putting together one of many puzzles.
I started trying to take some photos of the living room just to have a little document of some of the house and its complete Annette-ness.

We went on a walk in hopes of calming August...
We walked over to Klink's old place.
(Klink was a neighbor of Annettes that passed away a couple of years ago.)
The people who bought it have renovated the inside and she was hoping to get a little peak,
but the windows were all closed :(
It was still a nice little walk outside, even if it was soggy and rainy.

This plant Lizzy and Grandma pulled from Klink's yard and planted here. It is growing nicely.

Annette took me out to lunch at one of Brent's family favorites...The Village Inn.
After lunch I brought her back home and I left her to get ready for Mass.
August and I headed over to Max and Becca's to go visit them.
When I got there Max was up in a tree while some missionaries helped with yard work,
both of the boys were sleeping, and Becca was out.
I got to slip inside and get baby Miles (Max thought he had heard him on the monitor).
Other than August pulling out a bunch of toys it was great to sit there and hold a baby.
I LOVE babies!!!

I finally had to leave baby and go party down with the Fam for some of my Mom's birthday shenanigans...
It was fun.
We didn't have the "waxing" party that Breanna wanted,
but we were able to still enjoy ourselves.
Me and the kids did some mini dance party.
Elysia and I got to sing some Taylor Swift songs.
Then we all relaxed and watched a movie...

We all made a kind of appetizer and ended up with crab puffs, jalapeno poppers, Mandarin chicken, broccoli salad, won tons, chips and guacamole, apple turn overs, and as random as it sounds little waffles with strawberry.

Sunday I was going to go visit with Carleen and the kids, but upon checking the weather on the mountain I realized I had to head home. It was snowing on Mt. Hood and projected to snow on Santiam Pass by 1pm.
I loaded the kids and tried to beat the snow...
That didn't happen and we were caught in the thick snow.
