Random Stuff!

Random!
Just wanted to document some fun things we did during the last few months....
With the only proof being horrible iphone photos.

First at the beginning of September we did the Color Run in Portland.
Brent had wanted to shake things up for his mother's birthday this year, and decided to purchase her registration for a 5k. Her birthday was in February and he figured a run in September would giver he enough time to prepare. Max, Rebecca, and Charles joined us. It was a pretty fun family affair.
Brent, all clean and sparkly...

I tried to get some pictures and video of what we looked like after the race...I always forget I cannot turn the camera to the side while recording...
After the run...August and I headed back to the car, while Brent and the boys stayed to dance and get more colorful. Right after I placed August in his seat he fell asleep. I guess a 5k is a lot of work for a three year old?!

After awhile of August sleeping, the boys made it back to the car much more colorful than I had left them!

Most of the other colors wiped off, but the pink was the worst. It stayed on my face forever...

My sweet boys!
August still entertains me on weekend mornings...

We celebrated my Dad's birthday, while he was up visiting from California!

August tried on a few hats at the store, always my fav.

Brent and I had a lovely lunch together (with August) and shared some pineapple fajitas...

We went to the park with Uncle James, Jesse, Ty, and Brea. We enjoyed some Portland puddles...

We had the boys school conferences...One at the elementary then one at the middle school. In between these conferences there was just enough time to play at the playground. We played "toilet tag", and basketball, swings, and monkey bars. I forget how exhausting it is to play on play equipment. I tried to clear the BIG tire. Couldn't, thank goodness no one recorded that!

It snowed for the first time this year, while I was in class...Some pics from the campus center. Depending on what building you are in, the mountains can be seen. Here you can only see the little tips of them over the building.

Got a look at Bray's school pics this year!
That's my son.

Then Brayden lost another tooth...In the car, on our way to Portland to go trick-or-treating

It was slushy on the mountain, but there were moments the sun shined through making rainbows (not pictured), but still rainbows in snow soo cool.

Happy Halloween

Carving pumpkins...
We have loved going to the different pumpkin patches, but the pumpkin carving...not my boys favorites.
Bray doesn't like to get his hands dirty,
Mitch is too old now (or so he thinks)
so again we are left with August having the peak interest.
Brent and I also carved some pumpkins!
I free handed a tree, whereas Brent did an elaborate ghost mural.

All of our pumpkins that would remain UN-carved :(

 And the leaves fall.
It was as if that day the trees decided they were done with wearing their colors.
We ran in swarms of yellow raining down around us. The ground was covered with a blanket of gold it was hard to recognize that this was actually a street.

Getting ready for trick or treating!
Brent and I desire a daughter and that is no secret.
We still know someday we will have our own, but for now I can just delight in the fun of being an Auntie. My sweet boys threw their costumes on in under two minutes. Elysia took over an hour. It was quite the production creating the princess. Curling hair, putting on glittery stuff, and finding the thing that makes your skirt poofy.

Finally snagged one of my boys to take some pictures...

Brayden lost another tooth!

We started out trick or treating in downtown Newberg. It is crazy busy there. So many family take part in the celebrations of fall and harvest. Each business has decorations and people dressed up dispensing candy and business cards. It was a great jump start to the night...except that August decided his legs were tired after that.

Back at Carleen's house we re-grouped with Uncle James, Tyler, Breanna, and Jesse. We were all there and ready to go! We had a princess, monkey, reaper/ninja, Halo guy (?), vampires, storm trooper, and tiger (not pictured).

The big boys ended up going with Uncle Eric to move at a quicker pace. The younger ones stayed together. Let me just say with three trick-or-treaters in the house we have PLENTY of candy now.
Thank goodness for daylight savings that weekend too!
While we were gone over the weekend August decided to place his egg in a big bowl of water. He was very happy to return and see what had started to "hatch".
