Happy Halloween

Carving pumpkins...
We have loved going to the different pumpkin patches, but the pumpkin carving...not my boys favorites.
Bray doesn't like to get his hands dirty,
Mitch is too old now (or so he thinks)
so again we are left with August having the peak interest.
Brent and I also carved some pumpkins!
I free handed a tree, whereas Brent did an elaborate ghost mural.

All of our pumpkins that would remain UN-carved :(

 And the leaves fall.
It was as if that day the trees decided they were done with wearing their colors.
We ran in swarms of yellow raining down around us. The ground was covered with a blanket of gold it was hard to recognize that this was actually a street.

Getting ready for trick or treating!
Brent and I desire a daughter and that is no secret.
We still know someday we will have our own, but for now I can just delight in the fun of being an Auntie. My sweet boys threw their costumes on in under two minutes. Elysia took over an hour. It was quite the production creating the princess. Curling hair, putting on glittery stuff, and finding the thing that makes your skirt poofy.

Finally snagged one of my boys to take some pictures...

Brayden lost another tooth!

We started out trick or treating in downtown Newberg. It is crazy busy there. So many family take part in the celebrations of fall and harvest. Each business has decorations and people dressed up dispensing candy and business cards. It was a great jump start to the night...except that August decided his legs were tired after that.

Back at Carleen's house we re-grouped with Uncle James, Tyler, Breanna, and Jesse. We were all there and ready to go! We had a princess, monkey, reaper/ninja, Halo guy (?), vampires, storm trooper, and tiger (not pictured).

The big boys ended up going with Uncle Eric to move at a quicker pace. The younger ones stayed together. Let me just say with three trick-or-treaters in the house we have PLENTY of candy now.
Thank goodness for daylight savings that weekend too!
While we were gone over the weekend August decided to place his egg in a big bowl of water. He was very happy to return and see what had started to "hatch".

  1. Happy Halloween! Sounds fun. Charlie was sick so we never went to a pumpkin patch or carved pumpkins. Bummer! I love all the costumes...and after saying that it took an hour for Ellie to get ready...I started hoping I'm having another boy :) She looked amazing though! (We find out Friday)

    1. Oh, I can't wait to hear! I haven't seen enough belly shots to guess yet! But...I'm leaning heavy towards boy.
