To change it up from the usual Color Run, we signed up for the Bubble Run again. Both the Bubble and Color Runs are nice 5k family friendly runs that get the kids moving and make for great memories.
We arrived early. We were meeting some of Brent's coworkers. There were a lot of fun little things they had, as far as swag goes. One of the most fun was a giant chair the kids got to climb up on. They also had a booth where they were using some airbrush kind of art to label hats for people. We were able to pick out the color we wanted and tell the guy what we wanted written on the hats.
We made our way through the line and the waves started going while we were getting our hats brushed. We each got a hat and then headed to the starting line. I put my phone in its waterproof case so I was ready to take some pictures and videos to capture the fun.
We prepared Emmett with a clear shower curtain I bought from the dollar store and attached it to the stroller. Plus we grabbed him some swim goggles. Bubble runs can be very sticky wet business.
The first color of bubbles we came to was pink. Elysia had never done any runs before, she wasn't sure what to expect.
Next up was some green bubbles. We made our way into the bubbles, by this time Emmett was starting to get tired...
And we did it! Another run under our belts.
To celebrate they had giant blowers around a stage that sprayed out bubbles. We danced in the bubbles and waited for the crowd to die down before we tried leaving...
We got to the cars and dried off. Our clothes and shoes were wet and squishy. We were prepared though. So after slipping on dry clothes we headed out to lunch.
