What happened to my month(s)?

February ended so quickly, by the time I realized it was March...it was almost over!
Yes there are certain things in March that make me realize what month it is. Such as, my birthday.
So I will start there...
Even though it has been a crazy month, we have been able to squeeze in a bunch of fun things. Most I haven't carried my camera around for, but here's a start.

Nothing I like more than a nice little birthday hike.
Unfortunately, the wind did not agree. It was a little too cold, so we didn't get very far.
It was beautiful out, even with the chilly wind.

Grandma helped the boys make me some birthday cupcakes!
She tried to get them to stand together for a picture...but, lately that is not an easy thing to accomplish.

That's as good as it gets!

Each of the boys also wrote cards to me...

Brent and I took our  little guy with us on some errands!
He had to bring his sword, of course.

Brent got me a Fitbit for my birthday.
He got one for his (2 months early).
It has been fun challenging each other and logging all of our activities.

Wrangling our little ruffian up to get in the car...

Grandpa came home from driving all of the Western United States. He brought the boys each a shark tooth from New Mexico. Each shark tooth came with a chart so they could look up which extinct shark the tooth came from.

Then we all hung out while grandpa BBQ'd us some dinner.

Brayden continued his Basketball season. He enjoyed it until the end of season Jamboree.
He improved so much, he was excited to hear his coach tell him to keep up with basketball.

We also had a science fair this month.
The forms with the experiment proposal were turned in February 18th, and then we had to get to work. Bray decided to try and see if plants can grow with just air and water...
We started with radish seeds. Growing one in the windowsill and one in a utility cupboard.

While we were practicing Brayden's speech, August wanted to show us how to give a "real" speech.

Bray was super impressed and took in all the pointers August and I gave him.

August has been doing more "projects" where almost every toy in his rooms is spread around the house and arranged in a special way. Here is Woody on the dining table, being surrounded by Stragego guys...

And at the top of the castle is the Skylanders watching Woody.

The morning of the Science fair I had two finals to get to. We were able to come by right at 9am, and see Bray's booth and listen to his speech.

Bray's friend Nate figured out how solar panels turn heat into energy.

Bray's friend Lane tried to show us how dry ice works with various liquids to create more or less gases, by blowing up balloons.

Jen and Mom went to the movies...

Mitch finished wrestling

It hasn't really snowed!!!

August watches the deer in the yard.

Epic cloud cover.

Mitch and I volunteered at my friend's non-profit. He rebuilds bikes and gives them to children or families in poverty.
Mitch was able to show me how to change the tube in a tire. He also showed me how to adjust brakes and take wheels on and off the bike...easier.
It was a great couple days.

Cosmo watches August meditate.

For MY birthday dinner Brent wanted to take me out. August was having a hard time wanting to stay with Grandma. So, we let him tag along. He monopolized the conversation.
He was super cute.

I got my packages from Jen, with a new hat and scarf!

Running errands with my guys...

Holding hands while driving, my favorite.

Brent's face was swollen like a chipmunk one day, so he got to see his dentist and a root canal specialist all in one day. But, he was able to meet me in between classes and grab lunch. We both had french onion soup.

Brayden completed a marathon. Every other day he walks laps at his school during lunch.
He completed 27 miles! So he got an award with a gift certificate for a free jaw breaker.
We finally checked out the candy store here in town and he picked a yellow jawbreaker.

As we approached finals week, I got my studying on!
My friend Kaitlyn and I spent 5 hours at this Sharis booth studying for our Families and Poverty class.

Mitch had baseball assessments. They took over 3hrs, so like a good mom I went and got him fast food after all that working out.
We laughed at how shiny his burger was!
I had to take a picture.
It reminded us why we try NOT to eat fast food.

The flyer for the Science Fair.

My friend Kaitlyn got me a hat and scarf for my birthday as well. Loving all the new accessories.

Kaitlyn also made me this felt board. So now I am trying to rearrange my earrings and necklaces...

And that was kind of our month so far...
